Welcome back to Term 3. After several weeks at level 4 it is great to be in level 2 and seeing our boarding whanau back at the hostel.
Nationally NCEA exam dates have changed and the college practice exam dates have changed to reflect the effects of lockdown. the school exams are set for Wednesday 20th October to Wednesday 27th October with Labour weekend in the middle of this week.
The last day of school for senior students and for the senior prizegiving is the 17th November.
NCEA exams start on the 22nd November to the 14th December.
Academically our seniors will feel the pressure come on as they complete internal assessments and prepare for their externals. Structured prep times will be even more important and the seniors will find that they need more time to complete their work. They are encouraged to manage their time well and use their dorm work stations to complete any work not completed during prep time.
Eating, exercising and sleeping well are important to manage during this winter term. Monitoring this is important in order to avoid sickness such as colds, and being sent home to recover.
