Poto College House is located at 55 Renall Street, Masterton. We cater for 60+ boarders, both boys and girls, from Years 9-13 in a 5 ½ day capacity.
Our aim at Poto College House is to nurture strong, independent and resourceful young men and women who are equipped with the skills to respond to a world of change. College House holds true to its 96 year old history and traditions yet embraces innovation and creativity. 2020 has proven how important this adaptability is for our young people.
Poto College House is the only co-educational boarding establishment on the East Coast of the North Island. It is unique to the Wairarapa and is the College’s point of difference, offering an affordable option to remote rural children from the Wairarapa and those from neighbouring districts. International students are part of the rich tapestry of living at College House and once the borders are open and planes are flying we look forward to welcoming our overseas families again.
Boarding is an amazing experience for students. We strive to make it structured, fun and secure – a home away from home. Hostel life is filled with exciting activities with a strong emphasis on prep time in the evenings and offers support to take part in extra curricular activities.
