Mission

 With Wisdom and Courage

Poto College House caters for 60+ boarders, both boys and girls from Years 9-13 in a 5 ½ day capacity. Established as a boys’ boarding house initially in 1924, College House is steeped in history and tradition. As a co-educational boarding establishment it is unique to the Wairarapa and is the College’s point of difference offering an affordable option to remote rural children from the Wairarapa and those from neighbouring districts.

Boarding is an amazing experience for students. We strive to make it structured, fun and secure – a home away from home. Hostel life is filled with exciting activities with a strong emphasis on prep time in the evenings and support to take part in extra curricular activities.
